Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

easel flannel

Finds documents containing 'easel' or 'flannel'

easel or flannel

same as above

easel and flannel

finds documents containing both 'easel' and 'flannel'

easel not flannel

finds documents containing 'easel' but not 'flannel'

(easel not flannel) and plexiglass

finds documents containing 'plexiglass', plus 'easel' but not 'flannel'

read*

finds documents containing words starting with 'read'
